On 10 May 2025, the Wikimedia Community User Group Cyprus organised an edit-a-thon at METU NCC in collaboration with the METU NCC Wikipedia Society to encourage students and the local community to contribute to Wikimedia projects. The event focused on improving content related to Cyprus, education, culture, and local heritage, while supporting participants in building skills in collaborative editing, sourcing, and free knowledge sharing.

Designed as a full-day programme of training and hands-on contribution, the activity prioritised digital literacy, Wikimedia values, and community-building through collective editing.
